the universe.
We are all a bit of an alien in this confused multicultural world. With this collection of 'BHR.collective' we want to create a form of unity. We are all one humanity, one tribe of love, one connection. The Pink Moon Spiritual Meaning is all about optimism for the future and the anticipation of goals and dreams coming to fruition.
The collection is based on the song from Brandy, Full Moon in 2002. I'm inspired through her music from I was growing up in the 90ies. Spiritually, the Pink Moon always signifies rebirth and renewal. The resurgence of the color pink is a revitalizing taste of beauty and joy. It serves as a reminder that life is a set of ups and downs, a cycle of hibernation and reawakening, more beautiful than they've ever been before. Their color is appreciated in a new light, since we've all gone so long without embracing their poetic impact on our world.
One of my favourite childhood movies 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, in 1982 (Sci-fi/Adventure). The 10-year-old Elliott lives in a wooded suburb of Los Angeles and on one day he discovers an alien in the garden. They are shocked to death, but immediately feel friendship for each other. Elliott calls the creature E.T. and hides it in a closet in his room. E.T. soon becomes acquainted with life on Earth, yet he's homesick for his planet. With this collection I want to pay a tribute to all the indigenous peoples who had to leave their homes by force.
African masks are used in rituals and ceremonies. They represent spirits of animals or ancestors, mythological heroes, moral values or a form of honoring of a person in a symbolic way. They are made from wood, pottery, textiles, copper and bronze. They might serve an important role in rituals or ceremonies to ensure a good harvest, address tribal needs in time of peace or war, or convey spiritual presences in initiation rituals or burial ceremonies. Some masks represent the spirits of deceased ancestors.

In my search for my brand that would present me in one word.
'BUHARU' literally translated from Barberian ‘Lion of Barbary’.
I believe in coincidence and what is meant to be, the connection of life from the past, to the future. Born in July as a lion from a strong line of north african ancestors i want to pay a tribute to the velors lions of North Africa.

The Barbary lion went extinct in the wild in 1920, when the last specimen was shot in Morocco. Until the 19th century there were still scattered populations and the French government in Algeria offered bounties for shooting lions. Many captive lions are descended from Barbary lions, although in most cases it is unclear how or to what extent.

Around the world, the traditions of the indigenous people are under threat and threatened by globalization and modernization, leading to the disappearance of many indigenous tribes and their customs. It is no different in Morocco and North Africa. It is up to the Moroccan people to decide what is lost in centuries-old traditions. How will Morocco preserve the pictures, the symbols, the stories of the tattooed Amazigh women for the future? And how will Morocco protect the old traditions that still survive?
The tradition of tattoos connects the Amazigh people of Morocco worldwide with communities of indigenous people, who use tattoos as a form of expression, healing and protection. Amazigh women who wear tattoos today were born at a time when tattooing was still encouraged, much acclaimed and an integral part of life. During their lifetime, these women witnessed an unexpected change within Morocco and North Africa, and their tattoos, which once made them very beloved, are now a source of shame. The occupation by the French and the rise of Islam in Morocco created a new prejudice, which means that this practice is now quickly disappearing. The tattooed older Amazigh women of today are the last generation remaining in this tradition. While Moroccan women are now turning away from traditional Amazigh tattoos, they are now switching to this form of embellishment through the use of henna.
Historically, these tattoos helped the nomadic Amazigh tribes distinguish the members of the different groups. The symbols of the tattoos had a binding effect, deeply rooted in the history and survival of the group. Besides embellishment, the tattoos told the stories of the tribe, tied the women to the land and showed the family connections. Tattooing is an ancient tradition practiced by different cultures around the world. In North Africa tattooing dates back to "pre-Islamic times," and throughout Morocco the Amazigh people consistently wore these tattoos.
